Colel Chabad fills the gaps for Israel's poor.

Grabski Medical Center

Multiple sclerosis, or MS, is a chronic, often disabling disease that affects the central nervous system. It is characterized by the destruction of the protective sheath that covers nerve fibers, causing a wide range of symptoms, including numbness and weakness in limbs, vision problems, fatigue, cognitive difficulties, and even paralysis.

Acquiring treatment for multiple sclerosis is often difficult due to the complex and progressive nature of the disease. Israeli families with a foundation under their feet can typically arrange out-of-pocket help from a private multiple sclerosis center, of which there are only a few in the country.

For poor Jews, however, the prospect of a better quality of life with MS is more of a dream than anything else.

Colel Chabad Grabski Medical Center

Colel Chabad medical services and programs bolster national access to specialized medical care and treatment programs for MS patients. We know that multiple sclerosis treatment in Israel is hard to find, let alone for low-income people.

Our organization is one of only a few Jewish charities in Israel to offer comprehensive medical services to Israeli families in need.

Located in Safed, Israel’s poorest city, the Grabski Medical Center serves thousands of impoverished individuals and families impacted by multiple sclerosis. The specialized medical care we provide here is very broad, consisting of quality primary care and daily walk-in, ob-gyn, and cardiology appointments for local patients.

Colel Chabad is proud to have filled the gap for thousands of Israeli families with MS patients. Our reach as the oldest Jewish charity in Israel has enabled us to provide the necessary resources and support for those in need, giving them a shot at a better quality of life as they battle their condition.

Donate to Israel’s Health Through our New Rehabilitation Facility in Jerusalem

The decision to donate to the poor in Israel is a righteous one no matter how you give. But not every charity organization and not all charitable programs are made equal. Impoverished Jews need specialized medical care just as much as they do dental care, nutrition security, and rent subsidies.

As the breadth of critical medical services we offer grows, Colel Chabad seeks donors’ help in making our latest project – a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Jerusalem – a reality. Once completed, this will be the best destination for multiple sclerosis treatment in Israel and, in fact, the country’s only facility solely dedicated to treating individuals with neuro-muscular degenerative diseases.

If you’ve been looking for Jewish organizations to donate to, you can feel good about ending the search here. Donate to Israeli charities that make a difference by donating to Colel Chabad today.
